Apply for the NPLEX

Print your Admission Ticket between January 20 – February 2, 2026.

APPLICATION PROCESS

  • If you took the NPLEX in August 2025, you should use the same email and password to log in to your NABNE Profile to access the February 2026 NPLEX application.
  • If you did NOT take the NPLEX in August 2025, go to the Applicant Portal and click on APPLY, even if you took the NPLEX in the past. You will need to create a new profile and dashboard if you did not take the August 2025 NPLEX examination.

If you forget your password, DO NOT create a new Profile, because this will cause problems when it’s time to access your Registration Status or download your Admission Ticket. Instead, use the Password Reset link to create a new password. The Reset Password link you receive in email is good for one use only. Once you have created a new password, return to the Applicant Portal to log in to your Dashboard.

Determine your eligibility to take the NPLEX.

You are required to pass the Part I – Biomedical Science Examination before you will be allowed to take the NPLEX Part II – Clinical Science Examinations.  Current NABNE policy does not allow applicants to take both the Part I and Part II Examinations within the same NPLEX administration. See Eligibility Requirements.

Have the following items/information ready:

  • Create a scanned or digital copy of your current government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license, government-issued ID card, passport photo page, or passport card). The first and last names on the ID you upload must exactly match the first and last names you enter on the application form. The image you upload should be in a .pdf, .jpg, .or .png format, and be less than 1 MB.

Both the first and last names on the current government-issued photo identification you submit with your application must exactly match the first and last names on this official document. The image you upload should be in a .pdf, .jpg, .or .png format, and be less than 1 MB.
  • Your debit or credit card information. Our payment system accepts Visa and MasterCard only. Payments submitted via Discover or American Express will be denied. You must complete payment at the time of application.
  • If you are taking the Part II Examinations, be sure you have researched the NPLEX requirements of the jurisdiction in which you plan to practice to determine the Part II – Elective Examinations you are required to pass to be eligible for licensure/registration.
  • Use the same permanent email (not a school email address) when you complete both your Profile and your application. The email address you use on your application will be the same email you will use to access your NABNE Dashboard, Registration Status, Admission Ticket, and exam results. Examples of permanent emails would be Gmail, Yahoo, etc.

Check your entries before you click SUBMIT!

  • You will not be able to edit, delete, or make changes to your application after you click SUBMIT.

Complete your payment.

  • Pay all fees in US dollars, using a debit or credit card. The NABNE payment system accepts Visa and MasterCard only. Payment must be made at the time of application. Applications received by NABNE without payment will be discarded.

Next Steps

  • Log into your online Profile after December 22, 2025 to check your Registration Status. When NABNE has received this letter and all materials required to complete your application, you will be approved to take the examination(s). If you are applying to take the Part II examinations.
    • If you will not have completed all graduation requirements by January 10, 2026, NABNE must receive written pre-verification from your ANMP that you are on track to do so no later than April 30, 2026. Upon receipt of this letter of pre-verification, no later than January 10, 2026, you will be approved to take the Part II examinations in February 2026. If you do not complete the requirements for graduation by April 30, 2026, your exam results will be nullified, and you will be subject to NABNE’s refund policy.
    • If you will not be able to complete all graduation requirements by April 30, 2026, NABNE must receive written notification from your ANMP verifying that you have not completed graduation requirements. NABNE will issue a refund to the debit or credit card you used with your application within thirty (30) days of receipt of this notification. (see Refunds).
